Continuing the worldwide acceptance and use of the 6Ds, Roy Pollock taught two workshops in India this week: one for Cipla Pharmaceuticals and the other for ACC / Ambuja Cement. While the two industries would seem about as different as can be imagined, both require a well-trained workforce and continuous improvement to stay competitive. Both learning organizations face similar challenges: how to make sure that L&D is seen as a strategic business partner; how to ensure that training is the right solution; how to better engage manager; and how to measure the impact of learning and development–all of which are key concepts of the 6Ds.
